Our Staff in Our Clean Work Place

Having a clean, healthy and safe environment does not take a lot of hard work.  Consistency, proper training and communication is essential in achieving great results.  Having your team come together and identify the vital areas of concern should be first addressed.  Perhaps making a list of things to do daily, monthly, quarterly and annually. Perhaps some of these tasks are divided and rotate. If everyone makes a conscious effort to perform the daily tasks assigned to his/her work area, the outcome will be cleaner and healthier.

Things like taking out the trash, properly closing down the computers, making sure all cords that are not in used unplugged. (this could mean coffee makers, space heaters, radios, fans etc.), securing the office would be examples of daily tasks. Weekly tasks could be wiping down desks and phones, running a quick vacuum of the area, organizing files better and anything else that was identified in the original list.  The same would be true for the quarterly and annual workplace tasks. Some great annual tasks would be fire extinguisher tags being checked, deep cleaning of all carpets, wall and window cleaning and the list can go on.  By communicating what the expectations are and maintaining those things will help reduce frustrations.
